Proline striker Fahad Bayo scored twice for Proline FC against Express FC at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku but the game ended just two minutes into the second half.

The centre forward netted in the 42nd minute of the first half and two minutes after recess in an entertaining match but his second was the last piece of action.

The two sides started slow but the hosts later grew in stature and started launching attacks with midfielder Allan Kyambadde the chief orchestrator.

In the 30th minute, Yayo Lutimba nearly caught goalie Said Keni unaware but his effort deflected off for Keni for a corner.

Cameroonian import Vincent Onyebuchi hit a volley which Keni saved before he parried another Kyambadde effort over the bar.

At the other end, on form centre forward Nelson Ssenkatuka missed a header inside the 6 yard area when a well weighed cross from the left by skipper Simon Mbaziira evaded the Red Eagles defence.

Miss of the century

Five minutes into the break, Kyambadde missed the chance of the season when he hit the base of the post with the goal at his mercy.

He looked on in disbelief when the ball bounced off the post and minutes later, the miss was punished when Bayo tapped home from a David Owor low effort.

The striker again scored easily into an empty net when another Owor cross from the right found him unmarked in the area for a second.

Celebrations cut short by horrific injury and match abandoned

As Bayo raced to the corner flag for celebrations, Onyebuchi who collided with his goalie Fahad Katongole remained on the ground only to discover he had suffered a horrific leg break.

As players held their heads in fear, the team doctors of either side, coaches and players rushed to the scene as the big centre back lay helpless on the ground.

With no ambulance at the stadium, a Toyota Prado had to be driven on to the pitch and rushed him to Mengo Hospital.

A host of home fans then started pelting the second assistant with stones accusing him of allowing an offside goal and not even the police could calm them down.

After close to over 15 minutes of no action on the pitch, referee Ali Kaddu advised both teams to retreat to the change rooms and it was game over.

A decision from the league secretariat awaits but its certain Express FC will lose the match by forfeiture.
