A number of Uganda Premier League clubs have expressed interest in acquiring the services of Mbarara City goalkeeper Muhammed Ssekebba.
Ssekebba was voted the best goalkeeper in the the FUFA Big League for his splendid performance in between the goal posts for the entire season when he guided the Rwenzori Group team to the top flight.
Clubs as Sports Club Villa, BUL, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Soana, Express and Vipers have expressed interest in the shot stopper.
Key of Ssekabba’s strong attributes as a goalkeeper is the ability to read the game, offer leadership from the backline, thwart aerial threats and the trade mark drop ball service to forward players.
Welcome to offers:
According to the player’s representative, Manucho Rally, who is based in Mbarara, he acknowledges the fact that many clubs have been approaching him even when the season was going on, but he is yet to zero on anyone.
The player is available but any club willing to take him on and further develop his talent is welcome (including his current club).
We have been approached by many clubs from 2016 but we shall give priority to one club that is ready to develop the player as he grows.

In April 2017, Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic summoned Ssekebba to the Uganda Cranes Regional Tour team that traveled to Eastern Uganda in Kamuli district.
The national team won 3-0 in the match played at Kamuli Park Municipal stadium with Emmanuel Okwi, Martin Kiiza and Nelson Senkatuka all on target.
He was again summoned to the team that traveled away in the West Nile region against a select side where the Uganda Cranes fell 1-0.
Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba is also a strong admirer of the youngster whom he believes still has to learn a lot more aspects of goalkeeping but good though, has the natural talent.
Kajoba notes of the young goalie;
Ssekabba is a young man. He has the talent but still has to undergo more training sessions for goalkeeping to learn more aspects in the department and become one of the best in the country.
The good thing is that he is willing to learn and has the heart to train

A graduate of the Buganda Masaza cup, Ssekebba was part of the losing finalists with Buddu Ssaza against Singo in 2015.
In 2016, he was then scouted by Big League side Mbarara City where he developed a cult status at the club.
During the previous regular season, Ssekabba kept 14 clean sheets in 23 games, conceding 17 goals.
