The United States’ resort city of Las Vegas, found in the Nevada’s Mojave Desert, is famed for its vibrant nightlife, centered around 24-hour casinos and other entertainment options.

Its main street and focal point is the Strip, just over 4 miles long. This boulevard is home to themed hotels with elaborate displays such as fountains synchronized to music.

Such will be the mood at the Entebbe Golf Club on Saturday when the Singleton Challenge tees off for the last four pairs of golfers standing.

The amateur pairs of Kiryowa Kiwanuka and Elly Mukasa will take on Isaac Mariera and John Muchiri in the first semi-final contest.

The second showdown will feature Dan Kajungu and Collins Nuwagira who are up against Anthony Agaba and Jadu Patel.

Background:

The Singleton Challenge that kicked off in January this year teed off with more than 60 pairs.

The number has drastically fallen and reduced to four after four rounds of scintillating golf played out over four months.

During the third round, the professionals were thrown into the mix.

A hefty Shs12M eagerly awaits to be shared among the best performers with the winner obviously partaking the lion’s share.

Climax:

The final round shall be played on May 27, where the triumphant pair stands to take home the big prize, which is a once-in-a-lifetime all-expenses paid trip to watch The Open at the Royal Birkdale in Southport, England.

Annette Nakiyaga, Diageo Scotch, Brand Manager recounts the journey thus far;

I must say it has been quite the journey.

For the past four months, UBL and the Entebbe Golf Club have created an unbreakable bond.

As we near the close of this tourney, we wish the remaining pairs good luck, and great tee off moments, to be climaxed with a Singleton-infused 19th hole experience

Like for the previous rounds where there has been different themes nights, this time round the 19th hole experience shall dwell along the theme “Night in Vegas”.

Golfers and invited guests here, shall be expected to bring their best Las Vegas-inspired fashion foot forward.
