Uganda’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, KCCA target a decent start in the group stage when they face FUS Rabat of Morocco on Saturday.
The two sides face off at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan in what is KCCA’s first ever continental game in the group stages.
To reach the stage, KCCA eliminated Egypt’s Al Masry 4-3 on penalties after dropping to the competition thanks to elimination from the CAF Champions League by reigning holders, Mamelodi Sundowns.
The club’s leading scorer Geoffrey Sserunkuma, with over 25 goals this season believes the side has ability to pick a decent result from where many Ugandan sides have failed to pick good results including last year when the same opponents walloped SC Villa 7-0 in the same competition.
Belief. We need to believe in ourselves, and the coach has been preaching that, but we also have to stay calm and have that game discipline for ninety minutes, we have a good team.

But the good news is that new signing Ibrahim Saddam Juma is available to make his debut and is expected to partner Tom Masiko and or Ivan Ntege and Isaac Kirabira in the middle of the pack.
