Bul FC boss Peter Onen is not giving up on his side’s hopes of surviving relegation despite suffering a 1-0 loss to Soana on Tuesday at Kavumba.

Soana came out top through Francis Olaki’s 75th minute goal ensuring that Bul who needed to avoid defeat to confirm safety dropped a place down to 11th due to an inferior goal difference.

And with Lweza securing a point against Kirinya-Jinja SSS at Wankulukuku, Bul are now three points off relegation heading into their final game.

The side needs a point in their last game to avoid any kind of final day drama but should they lose and both Lweza and Bright Stars win their respective games, Bul will be relegated.

Onen who wasn’t pleased with the way they conceded says it is not over until it’s over.

He said: “It was a good game against Soana but we were not sharp upfront and we conceded a very lousy goal. A draw could have been a fair result because both teams had opportunities but that late goal disorganized us.

“We now have to forget about that and focus on our next game which is a do or die game. For us it is not over yet because five or more teams are still not safe so any of the five can go down.”

Bul are 11th with 31 points, one and three points off Bright Stars and Lweza placed 12th and 14th respectively.

They host Onduparaka on Saturday at Kakindu stadium- their final game.
