Rayon Sports are the 2016/17 champions of the Rwanda Premier League.

The development followed a 2-1 victory over Mukura to be declared victors with 4 games to go.

A brace from Mali striker Moussa Camara at the Stade De Kigali on Wednesday gave Massoud Irambona Djuma the full assurance of their 8th league crown in the club’s history.

Camara scored in the 13th and 54th minutes to seal the much desired victory that ensures that they are 13 points clear of second-placed APR.

Huye-based side Mukura is further condemned to 9th on the team log with 32 points.

Remaining games:

Rayon Sports play away to already relegated side Pepiniere on Saturday in Ruyenzi.

They will then take on Etincelles on May 23 at Umuganda stadium, play arch-rival APR FC at Amahoro Stadium on May 28 before winding up their season campaign against SC Kiyovu at Mumena stadium.

Rayon Sports earns the tickets to play in next season’s CAF Champions League.

They still have a realistic chance of a domestic double as they take on Police next month in the League Cup.
