KCCA have admitted they will have to wait until the domestic transfer window opens to use new signing Ibrahim Saddam Juma.

The Ugandan champions shockingly signed the midfielder from rivals Express FC before the closure of the local season and the transfer window closed with intentions to play him in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.

“It’s unfortunate; we are not going to have him,” said Mike Mutebi. “We didn’t have proper clarity before we had engaged him,” he added.

We thought that after being released by Express, he would be eligible to play in CAF Confederation Cup but when we went and found out in CAF, we discovered he can only play after the window.

The player registration window for clubs in the group stages remains open until August and thus Juma has a chance to feature in at least one of KCCA’s last group games.

Mutebi remains undecided on three CAF slots

Meanwhile, the gaffer still remains undecided on who should join Saddam on the slots remaining.

However, he revealed in the presser on Monday that young defender Peter Magambo aka Machete and former Victors midfielder, Muhammad Abdallah will be the names sent to CAF for registration.
