43rd Uganda Cup:
- Final: 10th June 2017 – Green Light Stadium, Arua
Originally slated for 27th May 2017, the 2016/17 Uganda Cup final has been pushed ahead to 10th June 2017.
This was confirmed by the FUFA Competitions committee.
It is believed the changes were as a result of delay to play the semi-finals arising out of the KCCA’s congested fixtures on the continent.
Meanwhile, the dates for the two legged semifinal fixtures involving newly crowned Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC and Uganda Cup record winners Express FC were also confirmed.
This Friday, KCCA will host the first leg now set to be played on Friday May 26 at Philip Omondi Stadium while the return leg to be played four days later on May 30th at Wankulukuku stadium.
The return leg of the first semifinal fixture between Sadolin Paints FC and Paidha Black Angels is set to be played on Saturday May 27th, 2017 at Namboole stadium.
Paidha Black Angels won the first leg 2-0 in Zombo.
KCCA FC’s Derrick Nsibambi leads the scorers’ charts with 6 goal followed by Vipers’ Erisa Ssekisambu on 5 and Kalanda Frank (Soana FC) who is tied on 4 goals with Masavu’s Peter Lumolo.
