Goals from Derrick Nsibambi and Tom Masiko earned KCCA maximum points over Tunisia’s Club Africain to keep the dream of a quarter final berth in the CAF Confederation Cup alive.

Club Africain had gone ahead through Mokhtar Belkhither but Nsibambi levelled at the stroke of half time before Masiko won it in the 62nd minute in a performance coach Mike Mutebi described as his side’s best of the season so far.

But how did the Kasasiro rate on the big day at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo?

Benjamin Ochan 6.5:

One world class save to deny the visitors from a free kick in the second half but had little to do with the goal he conceded.

Denis Rukundo 4.5:

Looked timid on the day and nearly torn into pieces by the opponents but joined in attack on a couple of occasions.

Habib Kavuma 6.5:

Played in an unusual position as a wing back and did well. Came forward well and whipped in a few crosses and also tracked back to tame the deadly Ibrahim Chenihi.

Denis Okot 6.5

Outstanding delivery for the equaliser and also kept skipper Saber in check all time.

Timothy Awany 6.0:

Read the game well although often made panic clearances but won almost all aerial duels with the big and tall Saber.

Paul Musamali 6.0:

Failed to cope with Chenihi’s movement for the opener but later grew stature and did well.

Isaac Kirabira 6.0:

Stroked the ball around nicely but failed to properly seize control of the game and always struggled against the giant Tunisians.

Tom Masiko 7.5:

Struggled to impose himself in the first half but soon dictated matters in the second half and won the game with his trade thunderbolt effort.

Allan Okello 6.5:

Excellent on the day but failed to make that defence splitting pass to his forwards plus always bullied off the ball by the big Tunisians.

Geoffrey Sserunkuma 5.5:

Looked lost most of the evening but still had decent touches on the ball and was involved in the lead up to the winner.

Derrick Nsibambi 7.0:

Superb at carrying the ball forward and able to exchange passes with team-mates in tight areas to release pressure. He scored a beauty of a header against the gangly opponents.

Substitutes

Paul Mucureezi 5.0:

Came on later in the second half and created two good scoring opportunities that were spurned.

Isaac Muleme 5.5:

Incredible when going forward and so deadly when opponents dropped to the edge of their own area, wonderful outlet too.

Ivan Ntege N/a: Came on late to be earn any rating

Coach – Mike Mutebi 8.0:

Uncharacteristically made timely changes and rightly so plus got his tactics right on the day.
