CAF Confederation Cup (Group A):

  • Rivers United (Nigeria) 1-0 FUS Rabat (Morocco)
  • KCCA (Uganda) 2-1 Club Africain (Tunisia)

Emeka Atuloma scored in the 72nd minute as Nigeria’s Rivers United edged Morocco side FUS Rabat 1-0 in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A match on Wednesday in Port Harcourt city.

After losing their first game at Club Africain, Rivers United got their CAF Confederation Cup on track with the win at home.

The result now brings even the group as either side has picked one win from two games played so far.

Earlier on Tuesday, KCCA had defeated Tunisian giants Club Africain at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala.

Each of the four sides seek to qualify for the much treasured knock out stage.

Neither any Ugandan nor Nigerian club has ever won the CAF Confederation Cup in its present format.

Next Games:

FUS Rabat, who lead the group on goal difference will host Club Africain in their next engagement at the Complexe Sportif Moulay al Hassan in Rabat City on Friday, 2nd June 2017.

Meanwhile, KCCA will entertain Rivers United at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo, Kampala on Saturday, 3rd June 2017.
