Sharp F.C from Kabale district outwitted Kiruhura’s Rushere 1-0 to become the second club to be promoted to the FUFA Big League for the season 2017/18.

The Kigezi representatives join Ntinda United from Kampala Region who secured their slot a fortnight ago.

Sharp F.C took the lead through Fiat in the 50th minute.

Isma Luyombya’s penalty 15 minutes later brought the game level.

With the game destined for possible spot kicks, Johnson ‘Bafana’ Turinawe powerfully nodded home the winner barely 5 minutes to the full time mark.

The applause was equally shared by passionate fans, players and the technical bench.

The victors’ goalkeeper Sulaiman Kibalama saved them blushes with darling saves that helped them guard the lead with jealousiness.

The winning team smiled home with a huge glittering trophy, handed over by Ntungamo mayor, Jakob ‘Jak Jex’ Kafureka.

Sharp will now join Mbarara’s Nyamityobora as the second FUFA Big League side in next season’s campaign to attain promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
