Uganda Cranes Regional Tours 2017:

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic has released the starting team that will face the select side from Kitara region at the Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal during the regional tour match on Sunday.
Lebanese based utility player Hassan Wasswa Mawanda leads the cast of players on the team that also has Vipers’ quintet Isma Watenga, Nico Wakiro Wadada, Halid Lwaliwa and Milton Karisa.
Emmanuel Okwi will lead the quest for goals alongside Nelson Senkatuka as Danish based midfielder Robert Kakeeto who features for Aalborg and URA’s creative gem Shafiq Kagimu follows from behind.
The second team has Grays Athletic center forward Isaac Jjunju who will don the national team jersey for the very first time.
Jjunju was born in the United Kingdom to Uganda Parents.
The Kitara region has experienced players as Kasese based Sun City’s Patrick Kusemerererwa, Booma Young’s Maxwell Owarizigui and Kasese New Villa goalie Isaac Kwizera.
The previous tour in the same region had been at the Boma Stadium in Masindi two years ago, with the national team winning 5-0 on the day.
The tours are meant to take the national team brand closer to the people in their respective localities other than at the home of the Uganda Cranes – Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
