Habib Kavuma has renewed his contract with reigning league champions, KCCA by two years.

The experienced defender who has been arguably the club’s best defender for the previous two seasons signed the contract extension on Monday May 29, 2017 according to the club’s official portal.

“KCCA FC is home to me and I have achieved so much with the club and I want to achieve more,” Kavuma told the club website

“When the manager tabled the offer, I didn’t think long before putting pen to paper. KCCA FC is a developing club that wants to go places, I have already tested that and my game is improving day by day.

The former left back with Bunamwaya and APR FC in Rwanda paid tribute to his current coach, Mike Mutebi who transformed him to a centre back role.

Coach Mike is the reason I am playing the way I am, he spotted me as a better centre half and not a full back, he trusted me in central defense and now am flourishing.

Right now he is building a project that will last for some time and I want to be part of that project as a player and later in any other capacity.

Kavuma joined KCCA at the start of the 2012/13 campaign and has been instrumental in KCCA’s four league titles over the period.
