KCCA Football Club midfielder Tom Masiko has been in devastating form since his return from a long injury lay off.

Masiko has revived his touch scoring four goals for the Kasasiro in the last five games in all competitions.

The crafty midfield gem followed his stunner against Club Africain in the CAF Champions League with a cracking free kick as KCCA edged Express FC 3-2 in the first leg of the Uganda Cup semifinal on Friday.

Masiko who was delighted with his personal performance attributed the rise in form to commitment and hard work.

“I must say it has been a lot of commitment and hard work given the fact that I struggled with injuries at the start of the season. It has not been an easy road to recovery (but) I remained focused,” he told the club website.

Masiko is also pleased by the belief in him by the coaching staff as well as support from teammates.

“The performance has hugely been down to the fact that coaches kept the faith in me and guided me well in the recovery process.

“Besides, the teammates have been there for me. We work together as a team and that helps us to get going,” he said.

KCCA visit Express at Wankulukuku for the return leg of the Uganda Cup on Tuesday, May 30 before playing host to Rivers United in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday, June 3.
