A brace from Derrick Nsibambi was all KCCA needed to pick their second victory of the Total CAF Confederation Cup group stage against Nigeria’s Rivers United.

The hosts were dominant, created lots of chances but how did each of Mike Mutebi’s charges fare on the day?

Benjamin Ochan 6.0: He could do nothing to stop Bolaji Sakin goal but was always in command and gave the team confidence to play.

Denis Okot 6.0: Was tidy in possession and kept things easy at the back.

Timothy Awany 6.5: He read the game well and kept Sakin silent for better parts of the game. His aerial prowess also denied the tall Nigerian centre forward chance to wreak havoc.

Paul Musamali 6.0: He did the basics as a defender. Cleared his lines well and often offered support going forward.

Vincent Kayizzi 7.0: A brilliant first half that saw him deliver three good crosses in the area and also confident in possession. Faded as the game waned and was timely replaced by Julius Poloto.

Isaac Muleme 6.0: A threat going forward as a wing back and his cross resulted into Nsibambi’s first goal.

Tom Masiko 7.0: Assisted the second goal with a well weighed ball into the area from the free kick and fought for every ball in the middle. Unfortunate to miss on the score sheet after two of his efforts were saved by the hosts’ goalkeeper.

Muzamiru Mutyaba 7.0: Brilliant on the ball and alongside Masiko, bossed the midfield but always late for that killer pass.

Allan Okello 5.0: A couple of deft touches but an average performance from the ‘young kid’ overall.

Geoffrey Sserunkuma 5.0: His goal drought in the competition continued but also didn’t get enough of clear chances to trouble opponents.

Derrick Nsibambi 9.0: A man of the match performance from the leggy forward with thanks to two well taken goals.

Substitutes

Ivan Ntege 6.0: His introduction offered chance to the creative Masiko and Mutyaba to bomb forward with freedom.

Paul Mucureezi 5.0: His directness and pace troubled the Rivers defence and should have bagged an assist with a low effort that Sserunkuma failed to put behind the net.

Julius Poloto 5.0: Tidy and simple passing after replacing Kayizzi.
