After qualifying for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, KCCA Football Club skipper Denis Okot said their target was to reach the quarter final.
Midway through the group stage games, the target does not look derailed as the Kasasiro have amassed six points from three games – with all the points coming from home and sit second on the table.
KCCA beat Rivers United 2-1 on Saturday thanks to Derrick Nsibambi’s brace and the captain who turned quite a solid performance in the three-man back line shaded some light on what they will do in the return leg against the Nigerians.
“We are not going there to waste time like they (Rivers United) did. We are going there to play and try to get a point.
“With six points, we have a dream. Our defense is still shaky and we don’t feel good about it. We will rectify.
With every team in the group looking to take care of business at home, the deciding factor on which side advances might come down on how they fared on their travels.
Maximum points or at least one for KCCA away from home will go a long way in keeping the quarter final dream on track.
The two sides face-off in the return leg on Tuesday, June 20 away in Port Harcourt.
