SC Villa trigger happy president Ben Immanuel Misagga has backed Coach Wasswa Bbosa to bring success to the club next season.

Misagga who has hired a record seven coaches in his three year tenure so far says Bbosa has the same philosophy he also believes in.

“Everybody has their own opinions,” he said while appearing on CBS FM. “But Bbosa is here to stay and I have confidence in him to deliver success to the club,” he added.

I like his style of play and his philosophy of football. He has the backing of the management and fans should back him as well.

Misagga has always been involved in player recruitment under the previous coaches but he said that all that will be done by Bbosa in this window.

Bbosa will do all the recruitment and all new players you will see at Villa Park will be his job.

The flamboyant boss also confirmed the record league champions will maintain Masaka Recreation Ground as their home for next season and more.

On previous season

The Jogoos finished the last campaign trophy-less and only second on the Uganda Premier League log.

Misagga feels disappointed by the position but happy with performance overall.

Finishing second is a disappointment but I think it was a successful season given the circumstances. Changing venues affected us though we did well at Masaka.

On the fans

The boss also thanked fans for the overwhelming support throughout the season.

They have been marvelous all through and even made the trips to Masaka. We can’t thank them enough.

On player departures

So far, two players Umar Kasumba and Paul Mbowa have left the club with reports of overwhelming exodus from the club.

Before the season came to end, we asked most of the players to start contract negotiations but only a few responded. We can’t fight to keep players who are not interested in staying here.

On a light note for the sixteen time champions, Misagga says they will come back strong next season and hopes to recruit even from the big clubs in particular KCCA, Vipers and Express.
