In a very low scoring game the Kenya ladies team defeated the Uganda U23 side by 5 wickets in the afternoon encounter at the on going Kwibuka Peace Tournament in Rwanda.

Mary Nalule (29) and Kevin Awino (23) scored 52 runs of the 78 scored by the Ugandan side. Uganda bundled out for 78/5 in their 20 Overs.

Kenya lost 5 wickets in the chase with captain Getrude Chandiru picking up 2/13 in 3 Overs.

The Kenyan side is full of experienced players like team captain Margaret Bangi, Sarah Bhakita and ladies of the series in the Emirates Cup Mary Wambui.

The Uganda U23 side coached by Yusuf Nanga will look to improve on their batting tomorrow as they take on the Rwanda ladies side.

The Uganda Schools Select Side will play the Kenyan ladies tomorrow in the other game as they search for another win.

The tournament runs till June 11.
