Burkina Faso won their opening Group I encounter against Angola 3-1 in the 2019 AFCON qualifier at the 4 Aout, Ouagadougou stadium on Saturday.

Asec Mimosa burly forward Aristide Bance grabbed a brace in the match.

The strong and well-built center forward got the opener in the 22nd minute before the visitors quickly replied with the equalizer by Gelson in the next minute.

Bance then scored the second three minutes to the mandatory half time break as they led 2-1.

Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore wrapped up the business for Burkina Faso 11 minutes to full time.

Burkina Faso thus takes charge of Group I on goal difference over Mauritania who won 1-0 away to Botswana at the Francistown Sports Complex.

Mohamed Abdellahi scored the lone goal of the day in the 78th minute for Mauritania.
