Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic has hinted on immediate planning for the upcoming 2018 CHAN and 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

This comes in the aftermath of Uganda’s memorable 1-0 away victory over Cape Verde on Sunday courtesy of Geoffrey Sserunkuma’s goal.

Micho and the rest of the team members who had traveled to West Africa returned home safely in the early hours of Tuesday.

While addressing the media at Entebbe International Airport shortly after arrival, the Serbian tactician with a vast knowledge on African football hailed the players in particular.

“I thank the players for the great performance. We had perfect build ups against Kitara Region, Ethiopia and Senegal.

“Since 2014, we have only lost one game away which was via a dubious penalty decision. This shows we continue to build well. We shall not rest as focus now turns to the CHAN and World Cup qualifiers,” Micho stated.

He hinted of an international friendly match with a high profile North African country before the game against Egypt in August at Namboole.

The detailed training programme ahead of the CHAN 2018 qualifiers against South Sudan next month will be released soon.
