Defending champions of the Senior Pool League (Men), Scrap Buyers got a rude awakening at the start of the 2017 season.
The Kisenyi-based club fell 11-9 at Lumas Pool Arena before losing 7-5 to the same team in the ladies category.
They however recovered to win away at Masaka-based Elite Klein 18-12 on Sunday.
Elite Klein women defeated Lumas 8-4.
Capital Night men won 11-9 away at Indigo.
Masindi-based Red Shooters overcame Icon 11-09 and Slow Boat were 12-08 winners over Maga.
Another reigning champion, Hot Pool (Ladies) lost 7-5 to Sinkers.
The league returns this Friday when Scrap Buyers entertain Skin Samona at Club Lumas.
