Panthers humiliated Jinja Zulus 9-0 in a one sided encounter of the National Lacrosse League at Makerere University playground.

Ken Kasule led the assault with 4 individual goals on the day. Reagan Ochan, John Paul Okura each added a brace before Liberty Twesiime’s icing on the cake goal.

Panthers’ goalie Allan Omone frustrated attempts from Andrew Bugembe, Robert Towers, Pitta Shaban, John Paul Olukutum and Samson Kayemba, who was returning from injury .

In the other game, MUBS were 17-6 winners against the YMCA Warriors.

Yunus Brian Tukire had a lion’s share of goals scored with five strikes. Onen Castro David grabbed a hat-trick before braces from Patrick Oriana, Sam Ochan, Ibrahim Makanda and Faisal Nsubuga Faisal and another from Collins.

The consolation goals for YMCA Warriors came through Ronnie Musinguzi (2), Dalton Darling (2) and a strike apiece from Kenneth Ssazi Kenneth and Ibrahim Senyonga.

The league will return with match day 3 fixtures next Saturday, 24th June 2017 at the MUBS Sports grounds, Nakawa in Kampala.

YMCA Warriors take on Jinja Nile Zulus in the opening match before Panthers play MUBS.
