Rugby Cranes assistant coach Robert Seguya has never run out of words of encouragement to his teams.

And ahead of this weekend’s encounter with the Kenya Simbas in Nairobi, the former Rugby Cranes star is confident his charges can pick a good result.

“Because we lost many people didn’t realise that we played quite well. We can go to Kenya and get that win,” Sseguya told Kawowo Sports on Tuesday.

“The boys just have to remain composed and make the right decisions,” he added.

Kenya have a five point advantage in the Elgon Cup having won 23-18 in Kampala but Sseguya’s attention is not on the Elgon Cup but rather the Africa Gold Cup.

The team to face Kenya was named on Tuesday with only one change made to the starting line up.

Veteran and former Rugby Cranes captain Mathias Ochwo will replace Robert Aziku at lock.

The last time Uganda played in Nairobi, they lost 24-45.

Uganda last won in Nairobi in 2013.
