Tunisia’s Club Africain put their Total CAF Confederation Cup quarter final hopes back on track with a come from behind win against Morocco’s FUS Rabat in Tunis.

The former African champions won 2-1 against the 2010 CAF Confederation Cup winners thanks to second half goals from Abdi and Meniaoui.

Abdi scored in the 69th minute to cancel out Ibrahim Chenihi earlier strike for the visitors in the 31st minute before Meniaoui won it in the last minute of the four added minutes to secure maximum points for the hosts.

The win, coupled with Nigeria’s Rivers United triumph over Uganda’s KCCA means all four teams in Group A are tied on 6 points.

So far, FUS Rabat leads the standings with better goal difference followed by Club Africain, Rivers United and KCCA in that order.

But at the end of all group matches, head to head will be required to separate the sides in case more than two remain tied on points.
