Al Hilal Obeid of Sudan, home to Ugandan international Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza won it late against Egypt’s Smouha to go top of Group C in the Total CAF Confederation Cup.

Girfa A put the hosts in the lead after 72nd minute but with five minutes on the clock, Smouha equalized through Ibrahim Mohareb before Ladzagla won it in the fourth minute of additional time.

In the same group, Zambia’s Zesco United suffered their worst continental defeat in years with a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Angola’s CRD Libolo in Luanda.

That leaves Obeid top of the group on 7 points, followed by CRD Libolo and Zesco on 6 points while Smouha sit at the base with just four points.

All teams in the group have played four games and with two rounds of fixtures to go, they all have a chance to reach the last eight.
