Uganda’s Matches

Unbeaten after the opening three matches, Uganda She Cranes is destined to triumph on home soil at the 2017 Africa Netball championship.

The on-going tournament at the Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala has seen a passionate crowd behind the host country.

On the court, Uganda has not disappointed either winning against Botswana, Namibia and Malawi.

The game against Malawi was very physical and well contested.

In all the games, team captain Peace Proscovia has been the star attraction for the team.

Against Malawi, the hosts led 13-11 in the opening quarter with Joanna Kichilika and Alinafe Kamwala sin binned for two minutes for unsporting play.

Uganda led throughout the match and only await the next opponent – Zimbabwe on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the tournament continues on Tuesday afternoon with two matches.

Zambia takes on Zimbabwe in the first match before Malawi will play Namibia in the subsequent match.

Reigning champions, South Africa did not take part.
