Kampala Hockey Club Swans entertain Deliverance Church Uganda on Sunday looking to secure their first three points of the new campaign.
The Swans have endured a terrible start to the campaign. The side was embarrassingly clobbered 11-0 by Wananchi on the opening weekend, and they suffered another loss against Weatherhead last weekend in form of a 4-1 defeat.
The Swans are perhaps suffering from the departure of six of their members who broke off to form the new side Rhinos.
With two defeats thus far, KHC have experienced a dissimilar start to the season to their Sunday opponents’. Deliverance opened their campaign with a 4-3 win over the league debutants last Saturday.
Deliverance will hope for a positive result when they take on a rather disjointed and depleted KHC, and they will rely on Annet Namuwonge to do wonders. The defender had a fantastic game against Rhinos last weekend.
While she operates from the back, Namuwonge was the architect in her team. She created two of the four goals and often found herself upfront troubling the Rhinos defense.
Deliverance sit third in the league with 3points, while KHC sit at the foot of the table.
