Weatherhead head into their third game of the campaign on Saturday against bottom side Rockets hoping to register their second win of the season.
The side beat reigning league champions Wananchi 2-0 last weekend to secure their first win of the campaign, and in so doing, ascended to the second position in the league.
It was a game that saw Weatherhead reduced to a defending team as Wananchi threw everything upfront, but while that was the case, the side was jubilant to leave the field victorious and unscratched.
They have an opportunity to go top of the table should they beat their Saturday opponents comprehensively and current leaders Kampala Stallions lose to Wananchi on Sunday.
Saturday’s match will be Rockets’ second of the campaign. The side opened their 2017 campaign on a wrong side as they suffered a 5-0 thumping at the hands of Simba a fortnight ago.
Rockets, alongside record league winners Wananchi remain the only two sides in the league yet to see the back of net. The side unsurprisingly sits bottom of the bottom.
