Hood Kaweesa has put an end to speculations linking him with a move to Vipers by renewing his contract at Police FC.

The big centre forward has been a subject of speculation with reports he had penned a deal at the Kitende based side but his agent, Musa Ssebulime quashed all that by revealing the player has signed a contract extension at the Cops.

“The negotiations went perfect and we feel Police remains the best team for him at the moment,” confirmed Ssebulime. “He has renewed his contract until 2020,” he added.

Kaweesa had a stop start campaign in the previously completed season thanks to injuries but still emerged the club’s top scorer with more than ten goals in all competitions.

The Cops have also shipped in former Sadolin Paints vice-captain Norman Ogik in what will be a busy pre-season for the club as they seek to re-build a side that will favorably compete next season.

The 2005 league champions survived relegation on the final day of the campaign and 2017/18 will officially be Abdallah Mubiru’s first campaign in charge after he joined the club midway last season.
