After returning back home on Monday morning, the Rugby Cranes will not have a lot of time to rest.

The side will resume their training Tuesday evening at Legends Rugby Club as they prepare for the remaining three games of the Africa Gold Cup.

The Cranes brightened their chances of challenging for this year’s title with a hard fought 17-16 win over Senegal in Dakar Saturday evening.

Their next encounter comes in two weeks time against Tunisia who occupy bottom place on the log.

While the team is quite happy with the two results picked up on the road, a draw against Kenya and the win over Senegal, more could have been done to post better results.

A late penalty try denied the Cranes a win in Nairobi while they also failed to capitalize when Senegal played the larger part of the second half with 14 men over the weekend.

Uganda is now left with three games which will all be played on home soil in Kampala.

Zimbabwe, Namibia and Tunisia will all make trips to Kampala.

Uganda are on top of the six-team log with six points after two games.

Namibia and Zimbabwe follow with five points each but the defending champions have a better points difference after their 53-7 win over Tunisia.

Kenya, Senegal and Tunisia are fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
