Pioneer climbed to the top of Mehta Girls Div 1 League after defeating KICC in both T20 games played on Saturday at Kyambogo.
Pioneer fought off KICC in very close games winning by 5 runs in the morning game and 3 runs in the afternoon game.
Pioneer will be indebted to Kenyan International Abel Queentor who scored 35 and 44 runs in the morning and afternoon matches with Leona Babirye (37) supporting her in the morning and ladies captain Barbara Mukankusi (35) helping her in the afternoon match.
In Entebbe, Wanderers handed Tornado B a walkover in the morning for lack of uniforms but they defeated the defending champions in the afternoon by 6 wickets.
Tornado B could only manage 59 all out which wanderers easily chased for the loss of only 4 wickets.
