When the Rugby Cranes run onto the pitch for their third game of the Africa Gold Cup, they will have a new half back pairing among other change on the team.

Philip Wokorach, criticized for his lethargic displays in open play at fullback, is set to pair up with Aaron Ofoyrwoth as the half backs.

Ofoyrwoth, who blundered on his debut against Kenya on June 10, replaces Ivan Makmot at scrumhalf while Wokorach takes Ivan Magomu’s slot at flyhalf.

Kirabo, who didn’t feature in Senegal, is reported to be dealing with a stomach upset while Magomu is handed his first breather having played all the three games thus far with no substitute flyhalf on the team.

With Scot Oluoch and Marvin Odongo both out, the Rugby Cranes will feature Brian Asaba and Ronald Musajjagulanyago at back row with Byron Oketayot returning to the starting team at number six.

Winger Justin Kimono will make his first start for the team this year, replacing James Odong at blind wing.

Odong will wear the number fifteen jersey and return to full back where he started his Rugby Cranes career from.

Magomu and Makmot will drop to the bench while Joseph Tamale, Santos Senteza and Mike Otto will all make their debut from the bench on the day.

Cyrus Wathum is not considered for Uganda’s first home game of the continental showpiece.

Adnan Mutebi and Gerald Ssewankambo will also maintain their places on the bench.

Uganda is third on the log with 6 points, a point behind second placed Kenya and 4 behind log leaders Namibia.
