Two Onduparaka Football Club players Mohammed Shaban and Rashid Toha have on Sunday morning flown out of the country for trials with Premier Soccer League side SuperSport United.

This follows the successful acquisition of their visas.

“Yes. They have left for South Africa. We pray for the very best during their stay in the country,” Onduparaka CEO, Anthony Afeti stated.

The two players are expected to reach Johannesburg on Sunday afternoon.

They were invited by SuperSport United for a two weeks’ trial stint with fully paid for accommodation and air tickets.

SuperSport head of operations, Dominic Busschau signed the letter of invitation for the two youngsters.

Should the two players excel and be recruited, they will follow in the foot marks of Uganda Cranes center forward Brian Umony.

Umony played at SuperSport in 2009-10 after a successful season with  KCCA.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
