After three games of the Rugby Africa Gold Cup, Rugby Cranes fullback Philip Wokorach is in the run for the top scorer gong.
The Kabras Sugar back is second behind Kenya’s Darwin Mukidza on the scorers’ log.
Wokorach is Uganda’s first choice from the tee and has made the most of that so far this campaign.
Having gone two games without crossing the white wash, Wokorach erupted against Tunisia and slid over the line thrice as Uganda hammered Tunisia 78-17 over the weekend.
He ended up with 31 points on the day with 16 of those coming from his boot.
The former Heathens fullback is now on 56 points, 7 behind leader Mukidza.
Lock Charles Uhuru is Uganda’s second top scorer with 15 points from his three tries in this campaign.
The Rugby Cranes will face off with Namibia on Saturday and this presents Wokorach the chance to add to his points.
