Warriors are the only side yet to taste defeat this season.

The 2012 National Basketball League champions have shown early intention defeating UCU Canons  and Power in the 6-0 run to start the season.

With four-time defending champions City Oilers next, it gets no tougher for Warriors but their coach Ronnie Mutebi says his charges are not under pressure.

“The pressure is on City Oilers not us. We intend to give the game our best shot and effort but we will take it like any other game,” he told Kawowo Sports.

Finesse seems to have paved way for grit at the Kyambogo based side and along has come the fighting spirit for every ball from across the board.

And Mutebi says it’s that same attitude the 2009 champions will have when they take on City Oilers on Friday night at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

“Expect the same Warriors spirit. We fight till the final whistle and we are bringing our A-game. They have experience and maturity, so our challenge is to test our level of preparedness.

The youthful coach who took over this term after Sam Obol was shown the exit door points out the importance of the game as they look to return to the top.

“This game means a lot to us. We want to use such competition to weigh our preparation and readiness for playoffs.

“City Oilers are the defending champions, so if we have a message to communicate about our prospect for the championship then we have to give such games our best effort.”
