When the South Sudan delegation arrived in Uganda on Thursday evening ahead of the return leg of the CHAN 2018 qualifiers with the Cranes, all team members expressed confidence.

None of the players nor officials looked timid as they checked in at Entebbe International Airport.

The 26-man delegation was warmly received by FUFA Executive Committee member Chris Kalibala among other officials.

Head coach Felix Bilal Kumuyange has promised to field a formidable side ready to challenge the Cranes.

Kumuyange revealed his readiness to Kawowo Sports upon arrival;

We are set for the return leg. Uganda is a tough team but we are ready to face them.

Kator Football Club towering striker James Joseph Saeed Moga as well as Merriek forward Leon Khamis Uso are two center forwards that the Bright Stars will depend on.

They are accommodated at Land Mark Hotel, Muyenga in Kampala.

Left behind are; Peter Chol Bentiu (Kator), Musa Younis Abdulrahman (Merriek), Peter Timothy Dusman (Atlabara), Zacharia Scopas Woro (Atlabara), James Jak (Atlabara) as well as goalkeepers Kennedy Santaralino Tambi (Kator) and David Alfred Orbano (Hilal).

The first leg ended in a goal-less draw at the Juba stadium.

The winner on aggregate will play either Tanzania or Kenya in the second round.
