Following on and off seasons since he came to the scene, Simon Sserunkuma believes now is the time to resurgence.

The new SC Villa signing is arguably among the most talented players of his generation but has always flattered to deceive despite being immensely talented.

However, the former record signing in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) feels now is the time.

“Maybe I made mistakes in the past,” he said. “But now is the time to show what I am made of,” he added.

My target has always been to play at a top club and I feel SC Villa offers me the platform to exhibit my talent for better opportunities.

The attacking midfielder is part of the national team, The Cranes preparing for the CHAN 2018 qualifier against South Sudan but was left out of the team that drew goalless in the first leg away in Juba.

He however says he is ready to help the team given the opportunity.

As a player, the key thing is to always be ready to play when am called upon and am doing exactly that.

Sserunkuma enjoyed a stellar season at Express FC prompting the Jogoos to re-sign him for the second time in his career.

He has also previously played for now defunct Victors and Simba in Tanzania.
