Lanky Ugandan striker Davis Kasirye has completed the transfer to Zambia Premier League side, Zesco United.

Kasirye was officially unveiled on Wednesday in Lusaka after close to a fortnight on trials.

Capped twice for the national team, Kasirye eyes playing time at the club.

Financial nitty gritty of the deal remains muted at large for the player who last season played at DR Congo side, Motema Pembe.

The circumstances under which he left Motema Pembe remain mysterious but key clues point to breach of his employment contract where today he still owes salaries and wages.

He has previously played at Express, URA and BUL in the Uganda Premier League.

Between 2015 and 2016, he was in Rwanda with Rayon Sports, guiding the club to the cup crown.

The forward joins a number of Ugandans in Zambia. Herman Nteza Wasswa and Joseph Ochaya are with Lusaka Dynamos.

Defender Isaac Isinde plays at Buildcon whilst Jimmy Bageya is still contracted at NAPSA Stars.

Two other Ugandans Minaya Ramola Osama and Manco Kaweesa left last weekend for trial stints with Zanaco.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
