Kutchi Tigers are hoping to complete a double against KICC this weekend at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Given the strength of both teams at the beginning of the season it was unlikely that Kutchi would beat KICC but in the first round they managed to skittle out KICC for 130 before chasing the runs with ease.

This weekend at Lugogo, they will be hoping to repeat the same but KICC seems rejuvenated coming off three wins a row.

The win against bottom of the table Partidar last weekend might seem insignificant given ambition of either but none the less it was a morale boaster for KICC. More than four batsmen scored at least 50 runs with Raheel Sawar scoring a big ton. Frank Nsubuga and Davis Karashani the big game players were quiet in that win but Kutchi will have to look out for the pair.

Alpehsh Hirani captain of Kutchi Tigers spoke to us ahead of the game;

We shall be missing our Kenyan duo of Shem Obado and Hiren Varayi because the Kenyan season started 2 weeks ago therefore the players have commitments with their local sides in Kenya. But we hope for a good game and if all goes our way we shall win.

At Kyambogo, Damani play Nile. Damani will be looking to keep pace with run away leaders Tornado B and they will be no room for slip ups.

Damani will be looking to national team coach Steve Tikolo, national team players Brian Masaba, Arnold Otwani and the evergreen Asadu Seyiga for inspiration. Nile is caught in the relegation dog fight with Charity and a win will seriously boast their chances of staying up.

In Entebbe, Premier play ACC in a Division 2 encounter. ACC got the better of Premier in round one managing to defend 96 runs at Budo. However, Premier who have been favorites for promotion from Division 2 wont be willing to give away any more wins if they are to finally join the big boys in Division 1.

In Budo, Strikers take on Tornado in another Division 2 fixture. Strikers are coming off a weekend where they held their nerve to beat Wanderers at the same ground while Tornado lost to ACC last weekend. Tornado is running out of games to save their season and will need to be at their best against the young strikers side. Tornado won this encounter in the 1st round defeating Strikers by 10 runs.

On Saturday in Division 3, Nyakasura take on Avengers at Budo. The school side has made a good account of themselves in their first season in the league despite having to travel over 4ookms from Fort Portal to play games in Kampala. However, Avengers had a strong finish in the 1st round and as they seek promotion to Division 2 they might be too strong for the school kids.

Kampala Pirates plays Mwiri in Entebbe on Saturday in the other Division 3 game. Mwiri will be missing all rounder Richard Oluka because of work commitments but the Kasujja led side is good enough to pick up a win against Pirates.
