Looking to reclaim the second spot in the National Hockey League will be Weatherhead [M] on Saturday when they take on bottom side Rockets in one of the games that were rescheduled.

Having requested UHA to postpone their game against the bottom side two weeks ago, Weatherhead were not involved in league action on match day three. This presented defending champions Wananchi an opportunity to leapfrog the side with the latter’s 8-1 thumping of Rockets.

Weatherhead, however, got a crucial victory in their last league game against Simba, which although kept them third following Wananchi’s commanding victory over the same opponent, left them level on points with the defending champions.

They now face Rockets in another vital match looking to regain the second position in the league.

Three points on Saturday will uplift the side up to second, and such a result will also reduce the gap between them and the current table toppers Kampala Stallions who lead with 12 points.

While Weatherhead will be looking to bridge the gap between them and the top, Rockets will be hoping for their first victory this term.

The side is yet to bag maximum points or a point since the new season commenced last month. Rockets lost 5-0 to Simba in their opening game, suffered a battering against Wananchi, and were 1-0 losers to KHC last weekend.

Rockets have managed to score just one goal, but will nonetheless be aiming at their first victory this season.

They are rooted to the bottom with no points, while Weatherhead sit second with six.
