It is advantage Buddu, Singo and Kooki heading into the return legs of the 2017 Airtel Masaza Cup quarter final legs.
Ivan Sserubiri scored the lone goal of the day in Buddu’s slim 1-0 victory away to Mawokota at the Buwama playground on Sunday.
Marida Kuteesa, Julius Mugema and Julius Ogwang was impressive for Steven Bogere’s coached side.
The home side played gallantly and were unfortunate to end up on the losing side.
Tony Kyamera (goalkeeper), Salim Kyobe, Hadadi Mutumba, Kennedy Kasozi and Brian Kalumba were outstanding for Mawokota before a capacity crowd.
“We got the result that we desired and worked for. There is a lot to play for in the return leg,” Bogere said in a post match interview.
Kooki won at 1-0 home against Busiro at their Lwanda fortress in Rakai.
Former winners Singo required a first half strike by Geoffrey Ssebuffu to win 1-0 over visiting Bugerere at the Mityana Ssaza ground.
Earlier on Saturday, Buleemezi held three time winners Gomba to a goal-less draw at the Kasana playground in Luweero.
The return legs will be played on the first weekend of August 2017.
