Olila High School made the semi finals of the ladies T20 league after picking up 2 wins against KICC on Saturday at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Olila won by 6 wickets in the morning and later on won by 11 runs in the afternoon. Gertrude Chandiru was the lady of match in both games with only the afternoon game living up to some hype.
Olila had 2 Kenyan internationals Maggie Banja and Sarah Bakhati in their team to help them climb to the top of the table. KICC remain rooted at the bottom but picked up some points for batting.
Tornado B found the going very tough in Jinja losing to home team Jinja SS by 18 runs in the morning before getting a grip and winning in the afternoon by 9 runs.
At Budo, Masaka SS won the battle of the school teams beating Premier (Ndejje SS) by 121 runs. School MVP Immaculate Nakisuyi (91) scored more runs than the whole of the Ndejje team.
Olila is now assured of a place in the semis and will wait on the others to join them.
Team manager Felix Musana said they just wanted to survive but now ambition has changed given that they have an opportunity of the winning the title.
