Aggrey Kirya plays as a right back and sometimes a winger.

Over the last 2 seasons, he alongside Vipers’ Nico Wakiro Wadada, KCCA’s Denis Okot Oola and Kirinya Jinja S.S’ Allan Drajua have been some of the most consistent wing back players in the domestic league.

Where Kirya has excelled over Wadada are the number of goals scored and assisted.

In 2015/16, he scored 5 goals and assisted 5. Last season, Kirya had 4 goals and 5 assists to his name at army side, UPDF (formerly The Saints and Simba).

Now at Arua side Onduparaka, Kirya has vowed to replicate the form over the previous two seasons and serve to perfection.

I am first of all excited to be at Onduparaka Football Club.

I was warmly welcomed to the family. The only paid back currency is playing well match in, match out. I am happy to be here.

Kirya has formerly played Bulemeezi Ssaza and a Bombo based 4th division club before crossing over to UPDF.

He salutes his new bosses for the genuine love and attention given to the players and technical staff.

The environment here is conducive for all of us to do our work well. I am just ready for the new season.

Kirya was among the club’s new recruits for the Arua side now in the off season preparations ahead of the new season.

Others were Rashid Okocha, Vianney Ssekajugo, Karim Ndugwa, Rajab Kakooza, goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato, Bob Kasozi and Allan Busobozi.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
