Sports Club Villa Jogoo’s preparations for the 17th Uganda Premier League are long overdue.

Fast forward ensuring internal order is one of the rich proposals which the Nsambya based club that hosts their matches in Masaka has undertaken.

On Tuesday morning at the Lugogo based Kati-Kati Restaurant in Kampala, the club named Gerald Kasozi Wasswa as the new patron.

Club president, Ben Immanuel Misagga officially announced Wasswa, an educationist and successful business before journalists and a few loyal club fans.

Misagga hailed the timely appointment of Kasozi as a great day in the history of the club.

This is a great day in the history of the club.

Missaga used the opportunity to salute the great effort for the previous gallant leaders of the club.

SC Villa is a like monument. You can not under look that value. When dusty, you just clean off the dust.

SC Villa has had so many excelling leaders as Faisal Ddamulira and Balamaze Lwanga as former patrons as well as past presidents Patrick Kawooya and Franco Mugabe

In a special way, he hinted on the pillars of good leadership which takes the shape of legislature (patroon-ship), Executive (presidency), Judiciary (law making body).

The new club patron Kasozi is a famous educationist and proprietor of the Bright Grammar School in Masaka.

He vowed to accord his due services expected of him in ‘free time’.

“SC Villa is not a new club to me. I have been with the club in good and bad moments. I have been a fan for the club. SC Villa is my blood. I will dedicate my leisure time to SC Villa”.

Kasozi fills the void left by former patron Charles Balamaze Lwanga who died in 2011.

Meanwhile, Misagga used the opportunity to officially announce the new club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Valley Mugwanya.

The function was also attended by executive committee members;

Peter Ssenkungu (first vice president), Meddie Nsereko Ssebuliba (vice president in charge of general duties), Henry Mulinde (Vp in charge of the Greater Masaka zone), Moses Musaasizi (Treasurer), Fred Turyatemba (assistant treasurer), Muhammed Jjumba (executive committee member cum team manager) and Emma Muwanga (Committee member).

Outspoken fans as Miracle Namalele, Meddie ‘Kattanyonta’ Ssembajja among others.

Meanwhile, the club training resumes on Monday, 31st July 2017.
