Tornado B only starts its second round this weekend after more than four weeks.
This long break has seen their closest rivals Damai playing 2 extra games and winning both with a bonus point. This puts Tornado B under extra pressure to make sure they match the same results as Damani.
However, team Captain Jerry Kibuuka Musoke believes the pressure is on Damani that have to play catch with them since they haven’t lost a game this season.
Pressure is always on the person trying to keep the position so I think pressure is in there camp. We are training hard as a unit and having match simulations to keep up with the pack.
Kutchi Tigers take on Nile in Entebbe. Kutchi is coming off a record knock of 481 at the same ground last weekend against Partidar. Nile will be looking at this as one of the games they can atleast win if they are to stay up this season.
In Division 2, Wanderers travel to Jinja to take on home team Jinja SS. Last time out, Wanderers managed to win a game they didn’t deserve after turning up with only 9 players. The school kids cant be taken lightly in their own backyard and Wanderers will have to bring their A game.
Premier face SKPLS in Buddo. Premier will be looking to get their campaign on track after 2 losses in a row and a draw in Jinja made them lose their place at the top of the table.
In Division 3 action, Pirates will take on Avengers at Kyambogo on Saturday. This is a clash for the top 2 teams and promotion is the holy grail for the winner. Avengers is currently on top of the table and will be looking to dominate the expatriates.
We caught up Nirav Sheek the captain of Avengers and this what he had to say about the must win game for either team
“We are confident going into the game. Our team has shown good all round performance this season.
“Kampala Pirates is a good team. However, they do not have any match practice for last one month as Mwiri and Nyakasura did not show up for their respective matches against Kampala Pirates.
“We would like to use that as an advantage. And at the same time, we are not gonna relax and will have to perform at our very best.”
