It’s all system go for the fifth round of the Africa Rally Championship and the Moil Sponsored crew of Yasin Nasser and navigator Ali Katumba are ready to be part of the expected thrills this weekend.
“We blew our engine during the Pearl rally, but after acquiring a brand new engine, we decided to come and do this event to test the engine as well as having fun.
“And besides, Tanzania is my first home and my sponsor’s base, so I felt obliged to participate in this event without fail,” says Yasin.
The crew will be looking forward to a decent finish in Bagamoyo.
“We shall drive our own race but focusing on the top positions. The competition will be tight but we also want to be within the centre of competition,” added Yasin.
This is Yasin’s third participation in the event with sixth place last year as his best finish so far.
Yasin joined Adam Rauf Essa and Christakis Fitidis to represent team Uganda this weekend.
