The Kenya U-19 girls Lacrosse team arrived in Uganda ahead of the East Africa Lax 7s championship on Wednesday.

The delegation of about 35 people is accommodated at Sports View Hotel in Kampala.

They held a training session at the MUBS playground in Nakawa.

The team will play a friendly match against St Canan High School in Lugazi on Thursday.

The East Africa Lax 7s game will take place on Saturday, 12th August 2017 at the Dam Waters stadium in Jinja.

According to the Uganda Lacrosse Association Public Relations Officer, Liberty Twesiime, about 10 teams in the different categories are expected are expected to take part in the one day event.

There will be competitions in countries, clubs and Junior Youths (Under Schools)

Rwanda, Israel, UK, YMCA, Jinja, Panthers, Maroons, MUBS, Guests (Lacrosse team from Australia and USA) are some of the boys and girls’ teams.

Other teams will be St Canan and Namagunga Girls Schools.

Winners will be awarded with medals and prizes.
