KHC's vice captain Dulf Musoke
Weatherhead coach-player Vincent Kasasa was twice on target

Habib Sewava notched a hat-trick as Kampala Hockey Club Stallions drew 3-3 with Weatherhead in the National Hockey League.

In a pulsating encounter, Weatherhead through player-coach Vincent Kasasa went ahead in the 4th minute, but thanks to Sewava, the current table toppers in the league restored parity in the contest in the 17th minute.

Six minutes later, the Stallions took the lead and it was Sewava grabbing his second of the day. Weatherhead, however, levelled matters, with Kasasa emulating Sewava as he found his second of the day.

Striker, Peter Elolu then restored the lead for the 2011 league champions a minute to half time and Weatherhead went into recess with an advantage.

But just when they thought they had avenged their first round loss, Bernard Bwire’s charges launched a late-ditch attack as Sewava completed his hat-trick.

At the end of the day, a point was what neither side wanted after 70 minutes of high-octane action. Weatherhead were hoping to dislodge KHC from the top, while the Stallioins hoped to consolidate their stay at the top.

The result leaves KHC who had not dropped points prior this tops with 16 points, two ahead of second placed Weatherhead.
