There is little time to rest as the Uganda Cranes team regroup on Monday evening at the Lugogo to resume training ahead of the return leg.

This was confirmed by the FUFA spokesman, Ahmed Hussein.

“The team returns to training at Lugogo on Monday starting at 4 p.m to prepare for the return leg this Saturday,” Hussein stated.

Cranes convincingly beat Rwanda 3-0 in the first leg at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Saturday with Muzamiru Mutyaba (brace) and Derrick Nsibambi on target.

Players who did not make the final 18 team as goalkeeper Saidi Keni, Simon Sserunkuma, Frank ‘Zagga’ Tumwesigye and Timothy Dennis Awany (returning from trials in South Africa) are expected to be part of the group.

Uganda Cranes players expected for training:

Goalkeepers: Ismael Watenga, Benjamin Ochan and Saidi Keni

Defenders: Nico Wakiro Wadada, Isaac Muleme, Paul Musamali, Savio Kabugo, Bernard Muwanga, Rashid Toha, Timothy Dennis Awany

Midfielders: Tom Masiko, Milton Karisa, Moses Waiswa, Erisa Ssekisambu, Deus Bukenya, Shafiq Kagimu, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Frank ‘Zagga’ Tumwesigye, Simon Sserunkuma

Forwards: Muhammed Shaban, Derrick Nsibambi, Paul Mucureezi
