Birmingham City have ended their pursuit of Ghana star Afriyie Acquah.
The English side have shifted focus to signing Ogenyi Onazi from Trabzonspor.
Acquah has been at the Serie A club since 2015 following spells at Palermo and Hoffenheim but is no longer a subject of interest at the club.
Onazi, the Nigerian international is tipped to join Birmingham after playing his trade with the Turkish side last year.
Before moving to Trabzonspor, Serie A giants Lazio had enjoyed a decent season in the Super Lig, appearing 32 times overall, scoring two goals.
